Victory Packaging Director of Engineering Judges 17th Annual ICPF Teleconference Competition

On February 25, 2016, the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) conducted the 17th annual live “Careers in Corrugated Packaging and Displays” teleconference. Students and faculty from 18 colleges and universities across the nation participated in the live video conference with over 400 packaging, design, marketing, sales, and supply chain management professionals.

A panel of industry professionals from Georgia Pacific (Billy Medof) and Smurfit Kappa Bates (Guy Sanders) and student co-moderators from two of the universities addressed the topic of “the Business of Corrugated Packaging”. Live questions were directed to the panelist from each participating campus following the discussion.

The two university teams that placed at the 2015 AICC student design competition also presented their winning designs to a panel of judges. Ann Lisiecki from Landaal Packaging, Patrick Beneglink from Pratt Industries, and David Wells from Victory Packaging (KapStone Paper) evaluated their live presentations. The students from the University of Texas – Arlington took home the top prize.
